When Should You Consider Cardiac Electrophysiology Services?
Your cardiologist may determine that your symptoms require specialized care and will refer you to our cardiac electrophysiology team for further evaluation and treatment. While some people may never know they have an irregular heartbeat, some symptoms of an arrhythmia or abnormal heartbeat may include:
- Lightheadedness, dizziness or fainting
- Shortness of breath
- Palpitations or a feeling that your heart has skipped a beat or is beating too rapidly
- Fatigue
- Chest pain or discomfort with palpitations (commonly known to be associated with Atrial fibrillation (AFib))
